The Apartment in Havelock Square will close on 14 February, it has been announced.
The nightspot and restaurant has seen a significant downturn in trade over the last six months management told SwindonWeb, and a decision was made to cease trading after fulfilling Christmas and early new year commitments.
Arkell's owned, the venue was previously known as the Atrium, and formerly a working men's club.
In 2005 it played host to an exclusive acoustic concert by Moody Blues legend Justin Hayward and in 2003 jazz star Jamie Cullum, his last Swindon gig.
The bar wil be open as usual on Valentine's night when special 'last night' drinks promotions will be on offer.
